Frequently Asked Questions about Acuvue Oasys
How long can you wear Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism?
Acuvue for astigmatism are designed for daily use with a fortnight replacement. They can also be worn as extended wear lenses and discarded after a week of use. If you wish to wear Acuvue Oasys continuously, consult with your eye specialist first.
Can you sleep in Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism?
Yes, you can sleep with Acuvue lenses thanks to their highly breathable silicone hydrogel material. This means they can be worn continuously for 1 week (up to 6 nights) after a consultation with the optician or ophthalmologist.
Can you shower in Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism?
We always recommend avoiding contact between the surface of the contact lens and tap water (or soap!). Showering with contact lenses, in general, involves risks such as bacteria entering the eyes through the running water, causing inflammation and other serious issues, or even the simple risk of losing the contact lenses while washing. It is advisable to remove the lenses before entering the shower.
Are Acuvue Oasys contacts for astigmatism worth it?
Acuvue Oasys are currently among the best-selling toric lenses for astigmatism. Many users choose these ultra-smooth lenses that combine two tried-and-trusted technologies to ensure a comfortable and safe wearing experience. Johnson & Johnson's extensive experience results in a highly user-friendly product. Of course, it is also worth remembering that not all lenses are perfect for everyone and not all eyes are the same. That is why it is always important to consult a specialist.
What is the difference between Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism and Acuvue Vita for Astigmatism?
Acuvue Oasys are bi-weekly lenses made from Senofilcon A silicone hydrogel material. They can be worn daily and replaced after fifteen days. Acuvue Vita are monthly contact lenses made from Senofilcon C silicone hydrogel, a newer version of the material that allows for a longer replacement period.
Why are my Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism lenses blurry?
A common reason for blurry lenses may relate to replacement time and cleaning. Make sure to replace your lenses on time and care for them properly with a good multipurpose solution. Do you feel like your current contacts are not providing satisfactory sight correction? You may need to undergo a new eye examination and update your prescription. If your prescription is new, then this may simply be a short settling-in period necessary for the eye to get used to the new lenses. If the blurred vision persists, we recommend consulting your specialist again to carry out further tests until the ideal parameters are found. Sometimes, blurriness may also be merely temporary and due to factors such as stress, dry eye or fatigue.

Dear Arkadiusz,
Thank you for your comment.
Please input your specific parameters into the system. This way you would be able to see if the product is actually in stock or not. The delivery of the products that are in stock takes 2-3 working days.
Kind Regards.

When I put these lenses into multi-purpose solution, they went hard and I couldn't put them back in my eye.

My prescription is +2.25, cyl - 0.25 and axis 65. Do you do a lens for this? Thanks
-
Reply
Dear Sally,
Apparently you cannot have the correct prescription for you, with these
lenses.
I therefore advise you to see your eye doctor to get a pair of trial lenses
to be sure of the brand and type you can actually wear without problems.
If you have any other query please don't hesitate to contact me at info@lentiamo.co.uk
Best regards, Fabrizio

Hi
My L eye axis = 85.0
My R eye axis = 98.0
This is on a glasses prescription. You only go up in 10 degrees for my desired lenses. What should I do?-
Reply
Hi Richard, You should get an Optician to do you a prescription for
Contacts…they differ slightly from Glasses' prescriptions. Once you've done
that…try again and (fingers crossed) you won't be disappointed!

My bc is 8.5. Why don't you stock this size?
-
Reply
Hi, we have a fixed size for all of our lenses. Different lenses have
different base curve, it is based on the way the lens is designed by the
manufacturer. You can search our lenses by your base curve 8.5. Thanks!

Hello. What is the 'cylinder' and 'axis'? I haven't had to answer that type
Of question before. Thanks-
Reply
Hello,
Thank you for your question. Cylinder and axis is for toric lenses, which
combat astigmatism.
The cylinder is an indication of negative values, which make any correction
for the curvature of the cornea. Toric lenses have a middle axis, the degrees is
based off of that.
I hope this helped, but if you have any further questions feel free to
contact us at info@lentiamo.co.uk.
