How to select parameters?
Power (PWR/SPH)
Power or sphere refers to the refractive power of the contact lens. Look for a plus (+) or minus (-) sign. Note that an equals sign (=) may be used in place of a minus sign.
- dioptres are for problems with near vision (far-sightedness)
+ dioptres are for problems with distance vision (near-sightedness)
Curvature (BC)
The base curve describes the curvature of the contact lens surface, i.e. how well the lens fits the shape of your eye.
Diameter (DIA)
The diameter is the width of the contact lens (measured in millimeters). It is not recommended to select a new diameter size without first consulting your optician. Diameter impacts the fit, comfort and functionality of your lenses.
Cylinder (CYL)
The cylinder measurement is used for the correction of astigmatism. It is a negative value that corrects curvature of the cornea.
Cylinder Axis (AX)
The cylinder axis measurement is used for the correction of astigmatism. The value ranges from 0° - 180° and determines the exact position of corneal curvature.
Addition (ADD)
Addition is the difference between the dioptric value for distance vision and the dioptric value for near vision. It indicates the magnifying power in multifocal lenses.

What are the main benefits of TOTAL30 contact lenses?
- Gradient water content - the water content is 55% at the core of the lens and nearly 100% on the outer surface, creating a gentle cushion of moisture to provide exceptional comfort.
- Celligent technology helps reduce bacteria and lipid adhesion to keep contact lenses clean all month long. Polymer nanofibers on the surface of the lenses resist bacteria molecules, allowing for significantly less biofilm formation.
- Silicone hydrogel is one of the healthiest materials used to make contact lenses. It allows the eyes to breathe and look completely natural.
- The lenses are characterised by high protection against UV radiation thanks to a Class 1 filter. This means the lenses are able to block up to 93% of UVA and 99% of UVB radiation.
The UV filter in contact lenses increases the protection of the cornea against dangerous ultraviolet radiation. However, the lenses do not cover the whole surface of the eye, nor do they cover the entire eye region. Therefore, wearing a combination of contact lenses with a UV filter and sunglasses is the ideal way to protect your eyes against harmful UV rays.
